This is an estimate, not a quote. Prices cover labor, materials and finish — two coats of Renner primer and two coats of Renner 776. New hardware is supplied by the homeowner. The final price depends on the condition of your cabinets; heavy grease, water damage or multiple old finishes need extra prep. Our 5-Day Cabinet Painting Process
Why we cost more than the cheap quote — and why that matters.
Most cabinet quotes look the same on paper. They are not the same job. A cheap cabinet job is one day of spraying over cabinets that were never properly degreased or sanded, using wall paint out of a big-box store — and it starts chipping around the handles inside two years. Here is exactly what we do instead, and why it takes five days.
DAY 1
Containment & Setup
We paper your floors and mask your countertops, walls and ceilings. We build a containment barrier and set up a spray booth and drying racks on site. Every door and drawer comes off and gets labeled, and the boxes get masked. Your kitchen stays clean and you keep living in your house.
DAY 2
Degrease & Sand
Kitchen cabinets carry years of cooking grease, and paint will not stick to grease. We degrease every door, drawer, panel and box, scuff sand all of it, then vacuum and tack-cloth every surface. This is the step cheap jobs skip. It is the single biggest reason cabinet paint fails.
DAY 3
Two Coats of Renner Primer
We spray two full coats of Renner primer on every door, drawer, panel and box. We fill imperfections, caulk the crown moulding and trim, then sand everything back smooth. Two coats, not one. That is what gives the finish something to hold onto.
DAY 4
Two Finish Coats of Renner 776
Two sprayed finish coats of Renner 776 — a high-performance Italian wood coating engineered specifically for cabinetry, not for walls. It cures to a hard, smooth, factory-like surface that stands up to daily use around handles, under the sink and beside the range.
DAY 5
Reinstall & Clean Up
All paper, plastic and containment comes out. Every door and drawer goes back exactly where it came from, hardware reinstalled and aligned. We leave your kitchen clean and usable. No mess left behind, no "we will come back for that."
